Keep in mind, things always die around me and I have never, ever managed to make something bloom again after buying it. It typically dies a slow and disappointing death in my hands. The specialized African violet soil I bought which supposedly had fertilizer in it didn't do much for blooming so I decided to try this instead. I added about 2 drops to the cup of standing water I use with a self watering mini planters I got specifically for the African violets. I was a little hesitate since I don't have a green thumb. It was in a ceramic self-watering pot so that was super easy since you don't have to worry about how much water to use. I started putting a few drops (about 5) into the pot and in about 3 weeks, we saw a huge difference! Now it's almost 8 inches tall, lots of blooms, and full. So I repotted it with fresh soil in a larger pot, and it still didn't bloom for another year. So this spring, I bought this fertilizer and started feeding the violet. Within a few weeks, it started blooming like crazy and overall looks great and healthy now. I've kept African violets for years but noticed the leaves on one of them were turning yellow. I checked with Google and learned I likely needed to apply vitamins. Ordered these, followed directions by adding a few drops to the water. I assumed it would take several treatments but within two days the new leaves were a rich green. I have flushed the soil and expect my plant to recover as it is otherwise vigorous, but when I recommence feeding I am switching to a 7-9-5 mixture from another brand. I do like that the Schultz product comes with a built in dropper for easy measuring, but be extra cautious and attentive if you are feeding variegated and miniature varieties. 3.0 de 5 estrellas I overdid it even though I only fertilized weakly! I searched and searched in store for African Violet food but was never able to find anything. Home Depot had a fair few flower food options but none for African Violets. I decided to look on Amazon and upon seeing the positive reviews here, I decided to purchase the product and see how my violets responded. So far they are doing really well!
